Minute Steaks in Mushroom Wine reduction
Who knew you can cook steak in 15 minutes? Well, with a pizza maker, you can. Serve this over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice, and you have a full dinner in less than 30 minutes.
Yield: 4–6 servings
Ingredients:
6 very thin slices minute steak
½ teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons oil, for sautéing
1 10-oz. box baby belle mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic
¼ cup wine
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Directions:
Spread out meat on a piece of parchment paper in one layer.
Sprinkle with Montreal steak seasoning, salt, and pepper; set aside.
Sauté onion in oil in Betty Crocker for 3 minutes, until soft and translucent.
Add mushrooms and sauté for another 5 minutes, then add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add wine and reduce for 2 minutes before adding meat.
Sprinkle brown sugar over meat.
Cook for 15 minutes, checking to make sure there’s enough liquid. Add water if necessary.
