This chocolatey babka filling has been through serious testing—from babka bars to biscotti and now hamantaschen. Special thanks to my husband’s morning kollel, the lucky taste testers who unanimously declared this the ultimate babka filling.

Ingredients:

Filling:

7 oz. baking chocolate

2 cups sugar

6 tablespoons cocoa

½ cup oil

2 eggs, beaten

 

Crumbs:

2 cups flour

½ cup oil

½ cup sugar

1 egg

½ teaspoon baking powder

 

Directions:

To prepare filling, in a saucepan, melt baking chocolate, sugar, cocoa, and oil for several minutes until smooth.

Let cool for a couple of minutes and add eggs.

Mix.

To prepare crumbs, combine all ingredients and mix until crumbs form.
