Broccoli-Cauliflower Cheese Bake

Broccoli and cauliflower never tasted so good! Using frozen vegetables, milk, and cheese, this

will be a great dish to enjoy after a long fast.

 

Yield: 6 servings

 

Ingredients:

12 oz. frozen broccoli

12 oz. frozen cauliflower

¼ cup butter, divided

¼ cup flour

2 cups whole milk, divided

1¼ teaspoons salt

¾ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1¾ cup mozzarella cheese, divided

3 tablespoons panko crumbs

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray a 9”x13” oven-safe dish or pan with cooking spray.

Place frozen broccoli and cauliflower in dish.

In a medium saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat.

Add flour and mix until you get a thick paste.

Add 1 cup milk and whisk until thickened.

Add another cup milk and continue mixing until it thickens.

Add salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Mix until combined and remove from heat.

Add ¾ cup mozzarella cheese and stir until combined.

Pour cheese sauce over broccoli and cauliflower and mix until coated.

Sprinkle remaining cheese over vegetables.

Sprinkle panko crumbs over cheese.

Bake for 50–60 minutes or until top is golden.

Serve.
