Sweet n’ Sour Meatballs

Everyone loves a good sweet ’n’ sour meatball recipe; it’s a staple in many homes, a comfort food everyone can enjoy. These are extremely freezer friendly and are always first on my list when I want to stock up.

Yield: 6–8 servings



1 17.6-oz. can tomato sauce

½ cup coconut aminos

3 tablespoons vinegar or freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon salt

Black pepper to taste


1 package ground beef (I used 1.7 lbs.)

½ cup almond flour

1 egg

3 tablespoon dried minced onion


Black pepper


In a pot, combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil while you prep the meatballs.

In a large bowl, combine meatball ingredients. Form balls and add to sauce.

Cook on a medium-high flame for 15 minutes, then lower to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
