Planning your Purim seudah? Finger food is always welcome for its practicality. Easy to serve, simple to eat. Feel free to serve at any temperature and be sure to please the crowd!

Pastrami Pinwheels

The thought of these is absolutely mouthwatering!

Yield: 24 wheels


2 tablespoons oil

1 Spanish onion, sliced into ¼ rings

16 slices pastrami

4 6-inch square tortilla wraps


3 large avocados, peeled and chunked

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

4 cubes crushed garlic

1 cup cherry tomatoes, diced

Wedge of purple onion, diced


In a medium skillet, heat up oil. Lower flame and sauté onions until soft. Raise flame and fry pastrami until beginning to curl, about 3 minutes each side.

Place avocados in a medium mixing bowl and mash coarsely. Mix in lemon juice and spices, then stir in the vegetables.

Assemble: On a flat wrap, spread a layer of guacamole. Top with a layer of pastrami and onions. Roll up tightly and slice into 6 pinwheels. Repeat with remaining wraps.
